We have had a great time experimenting with the craft of Origami. Amelia has mastered the crane and plans to make 1000 of them to hang in her room. Above are pictures of Amelia helping Maggie with a crane. I have learned some of the animals so I can help the children, so far I have made penguins, scorpions, butterflies, an owl, a squirell, and a grasshopper. Maggie made a snake, Euri made a panda. Daniel is learning the scorpion. Alex just plays with what we make! It has been a lot of fun! We will post more pictures later....but here is a close up of a crane and a penguin....
"There are many such boys and girls, full of high hopes, lovely possibilities, and earnest plans, pausing a moment before they push their little boats from the safe shore. Let those who launch them see to it that they have good health to man the oars, good education for ballast, and good principles as pilots to guide them as they voyage down an ever winding river to the sea." Good job! Try as I might I can't get my origami to look like anything but a crumpled piece of paper!
The pictures aren't loading for me for some reason. Chris loves his origami book. Its so great for those fine motor-skills.... and not to mention logic and following directions! :)
Love,
Lynn
I always wanted to do that. You guys "rock".
