"There are many such boys and girls,
full of high hopes, lovely possibilities, and earnest plans,
pausing a moment before they push
their little boats from the safe shore. Let those who launch
them see to it that they have good health to man the oars, good education for ballast, and good principles as pilots to guide them as
they voyage down an ever winding river to the sea."

Candyland
I picked up this old Candyland game at a thrift store.... isn't it sweet? The pieces are actually plastic and not paper! I know it is not REALLY an educational game... but is is a good plus to making fond childhood memories!

What do you mean not educational. This game has helped a lot of children learn colors and the whole concept of game playing. Think about it, what was one of the first games you ever played? love, Aunt valerie
Val, I never had Candyland as a child... I really have only played it a few times... I guess that is another reason why I really wanted this game! Hilda

We loved Candy land around our house when the boys were little... I can't wait until we have grands that can play!!
I didn't know they had a dvd version. These are great pictures. :) And, I never played it as a child either, but we weren't really into board games.
Just so you all know....
Daniel and I played two games of Candyland and one game of Chutes and Ladders the other night!
