Color Coded Cups

I was tired of hearing myself say "who didn't rinse their cup?... whose left their cup in the living room?..... There are ten people living in this house, why are there 35 dirty cups?....who didn't clear their dishes from the table?...". To solve this problem, I went back to a system that I haven't used since Ruben, Bradley, Amelia, and Daniel were all small and at home.... color coded cups, plates and bowls! Red is Amelia, Blue is Maggie, Green is Daniel and Yellow is Alex. They use them for every meal (except supper) and are responsible for keeping up with and cleaning them. Now there are not multitudes of cups awaiting ME to take care of each evening! There are only as many cups beside my sink as there are people in my home! Brad and Euri have a 'special' cup as do I... The teenagers aren't as diligent at washing, so sometimes I spray their cups with soap, to give a hint, and they are greeted with a mouthful of sudsy juice! They can't stand it, but they clean their cup! This is a good system and works like a charm. Just another way to make my life more sane.

I do the same thing. My mom just brought back cups from the mountains that have each childs name on them and that has been great. Even Caleb has one.
love you,

Ha! We do the same thing. If I didn't have the kids do this, we would have 25 dirty glasses a day---no joke!
