After reading chapter four in Little House on the Prairie the children sketched the Ingall's family horses hitched to their posts. Then they chose on of the many prairie animals that Laura saw on her prairie adventure. The little bird they chose to sketch is a dickcissel. They enjoyed the part in the chapter when Laura and Mary were trying to catch a gopher for their Ma. I am sure Ma was glad they never caught one! Maggie's beautiful horses.....
