December Doings...

We have been busy as a family this past December and not so busy as a school! However plans are in order to begin with normal school days first thing in the morning. We also had to plan in a half day of deep cleaning the house after two weeks of family chaos! We also have set some 'New Year's Resolutions... well, really we just made some changes in our daily routines that we hope to make things run more smoothly around the house and school.... like smoother parent-involved bed time routines and easy, early meals on weekdays... plus, guitar and Spanish lessons from Dad at night and hopefully short family night time devotions... we'll let you know how it all works out!

Here are some of the things the kids have enjoyed this December...

Just having Bradley around again..even if he slept half the day...
Visiting our family and neighbors and enjoying all the beauties and celbrations of Christmastime...
Taking Bradley around to see friends and neighbors.. here he is with Ms. Lossie and Mr. Kenneth who was in the Air Force during WWII... Alex learned to fix, or blouse up, his pant legs with the military elastics that Bradley gave him... they come in handy when he is wearing too long pants! Don't you love his mix-matched socks?????
As far as Christmas presents went for the children... they were small in quantity, but that didn't matter... we were happy to be together! The boys only had about three items to open under the tree and poor Daniel, the slippers we bought him were too small so Daddy got a new pair for Christmas! Anyway, we were blessed to be able to give the boys (Daniel and Alex) gifts that were on the TOP of their wish list... have a look....

So, we have a new year and so many things we want to do as a family and a school. Our hope and desire is to live our lives in God's will and honor Him in all that we do... we are so blessed and so looking forward to 2009!
