Keeper's Camp Out

Thursday night was our very first Keeper's Club Camp Out. We let the girls 'go first'. Each girl planned and packed their own food to cook and share, plus all their own supplies. The moms only had to do minimal work... the girls had it all under control! They really learned about the WORK that goes behind a fun camping trip. We ALL learned a lot and made mental notes of what we SHOULD and WILL NOT do for our next outing. Of course everything did not go perfectly as planned, but the girls adapted to the mishaps very bravely... I am so proud of all three of my girls!
Maggie: Hostess, Supplier of Daddy Who Can Show Us How to Start a Fire and cooked beans and hot dogs...
Hope: Games and Activities Planner, and The Girl Who's Mom Can Sleep in the Tent With Us When We are Scared and cooked hamburgers.... Amelia: Sanitary Specialist, Tent Assembly Supervisor, General Campsite Organizer and cooked Fried Potatoes.... Daniel was so excited.. even though it was not 'the boys turn' he worked as hard as he could with the camp fire.... we are planning a 'camp fire' tutorial session with Uncle Gary... hopefully before the Contender's camp out. Here the children compare hands to see who is the dirtiest...
Alex and Josh spent their time leisurely drawing until supper time... the girls did all the work! They went home with Mark for a boy's sleep over at Cloverdale (the new name for our home) Next camp out will be for the boys to earn badge credit for their Contender's Club....

By Far...... I had the cutest, most outrageous camp out fit! Wooooh Hooo!

Hi Hilda,
I just found your comment. Thank you for stopping by, and for the kind comment on my husbands cabinet. It's nice to have a handy man isn't it? We have some old wood from my grandfather's home we hope to make something of also. I look forward to perusing your blog. Please stop back again. God bless,Lisa
